Cynthia’s Journey — The Founding of EmPOWERment In PINK

Cynthia Sanders-Simpson Cynthia Sanders-Simpson, two-time breast cancer survivor, founded EmPOWERment In PINK in October 2014 as a way to encourage and emPOWER cancer patients, survivors and their families. The acts of kindness and support from Dr. Bebb, MD, FACS (WSA), and Dr. Kays, DMD, MD, FACS (NHRMC) and their medical staff is what pulled Cynthia through her cancer not once, but twice. She saw how her battles not only affected her but her family and friends who sacrificed so much to support her during these trying times. Being able to share her testimony and seeing how it impacted people, it became her mission to give back to as many people what was given to her when she needed it the most.

EmPOWERment In PINK foundation realizes that cancer does not discriminate. On any given day, your life and the lives of those around you can change with a cancer diagnosis. Having someone to embrace and care for you while sharing their own first-hand experience with a patient, their family, and friends is priceless.

Cynthia represents the true meaning of “survivor”. She has embraced and accepted that she has overcome more than most people will ever go through in a lifetime. She knows she has a purpose to fulfill, and she is determined to do so with the vision from The Most High God.

EmPOWERment In PINK is not just a non-profit foundation, but is an example of what we live and learn. EIP displays compassion, empathy, sharing, and the desire to meet the needs of our community. GOD is our leader. We strive to provide each individual with the appropriate care needed. EIP supports ALL CANCERS.

EmPOWERment In PINK is committed to making a difference!
